SalandCol Bathust -Victor Harbour 2022

Finally leaving the Bruce Hwy, We fueled up and gathered supplies and headed inland towards Charters Towers.  We stopped at the Burdekin River for a loo break and to check out the railway bridges, both old and new.  Apparently neither have been under water unlike the road bridge which flood regularly.  

Packed up and ready to leave. Never look forward to battling the Bruce Highway but with a full gut of Pauls tripple shot ice coffee, places to go and people to see.  Sally and I hit the road for another great Australian adventure. Didn’t take long to hit our first snag.  Only another 330km of Bruce Hwy roadworks and impatient travellers.

This year we plan to attend the Bathurst 1000 motor race which conveniently falls on Colin's 59th Birthday.  To sweeten the deal, We have also been invited to an 80th birthday party a week later, in Victor Harbour.  So with Bathurst camping rites secure and the camper primed and ready, off we set.
